Dr. Nuttall is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies with an adjunct affiliation in the Department of Psychology. She enjoys mentoring talented graduate and undergraduate students from both departments.

The Family Stress Lab is always looking for talented and motivated undergraduate students. If you are interested in joining our lab, please contact Dr. Nuttall with any questions and complete and return an RA Application. Students are encouraged to begin volunteering in the lab early in their undergraduate career in order to maximize their experience. Undergraduate research assistants may wish to volunteer or to earn research credit (PSY 490, PSY 491, or HDFS 490). Advanced psychology majors may pursue a capstone project (PSY 498H/PSY 499H or PSY 492H) in the Family Stress Lab with Dr. Nuttall as Chairperson/ Capstone advisor.

Undergraduate Research Assistant Requirements include:

  • At least a 3.5 GPA
  • Able to make a minimum of a 1-year commitment of 9 hours/week
  • Weekday evening availability 3-9pm at least 2 days/week
  • Freshmen and sophomores preferred
  • Students considering doctoral training preferred
